Aeonium aizoon is now critically endangered in its natural habitat because of the effect of devastating wildfires & climate change.
They grow naturally in rock crevices, most wide-spread in the south-east facing rock cliffs in south-central parts of Tenerife at high altitude.
It is a low growing Aeonium that forms an attractive clump over time with tiny hairs (cillata) covering its leaves
