Agave salmiana var. ‘Ferox’ is a super-sized stunning Agave that is simply architectural plant porn!
It has large dramatic leaves with a wavy terminal spine and purple-hued teeth & margins.
Its a tough Agave & can be seen growing outdoors in Cornwall, Sussex & even Weston-super-Mare (!) quite happily so a good choice if you're wanting to experiment growing outdoors in the UK....just make sure you've got the space!
It originates from Mexico but also has naturalised in many areas of Europe & South Africa!
