Aloe 'Ferox' is a stout Tree-like Aloe from South Africa that grows to 2-3m in height with tall seasonal Orange-Red coloured Flowers.
It is a bold, architectural Aloe - the fleshy leaves often have a Grey/Green tinge and have reddish-Brown marginal spines and - particularly when young - also have spines on both leaf surfaces.
Aloe ferox is harvested in South Africa for Cape Bitters, the medicinal leaf substance that is secreted and used as a powerful colon cleanser and laxative.....Yummy!
Aloe ferox is not frost resistant so although cold tolerent, is best brought into a unheated Greenhouse or Conservatory in the Winter.
Please Note: Succulents change colour throughout the year and the plants we deliver can look different from the pictures. All plants are shipped bare root (without soil).
