Astrophytum myriostigma var. Nudum, commonly known as the bishop's cap cactus, is a species of cactus native to the highlands of northeastern and central Mexico.
It distinguishes from other myriostigma for its smooth epidermis. As a result, its stem, which can be spherical or shortly columnar, showing its colours of bright Green, Blue-Green, Grey-Green or Mauve-Green.
It can grow up to 120cm in height, keeping its star-shaped form.
After around 6 years of life, the plant can bloom from spring to early summer, forming pale-yellow, silk-shining flowers.
